Welcome to DSA Long Beach!

DSA Long Beach is building working class power, fighting exploitation, and organizing for a more democratic and just future. We’re member-run, which means our work is planned, debated, voted on, and carried out by members like you.

Curious about joining DSA? Don't know where to start? Our New Member Onboarding Program is the best way to begin.

In Summer 2026, DSA Long Beach is launching New Member Cohorts to help new members join and get integrated into our Chapter.

To join a New Member Cohort:

  • Attend a DSA 101 and meet your Cohort

  • Join our organization

  • Follow our Cohort roadmap (described below) — bond with fellow members and feel at home in DSA-LB!

There’s always a lot going on, and getting started can feel overwhelming. The New Member Onboarding Program is here to help you find your footing and welcome you to the world of socialist organizing.

Thanks for being here!

What's a New Member Cohort?

In Summer 2026, DSA Long Beach is launching a New Member Cohort program to help new members learn about our organization, make connections with other members, and find their organizing home in our Chapter.

Our DSA 101 is the best first step for anyone who has recently joined, is thinking about joining, or wants to get reacquainted with the chapter.

Once you sign up for our DSA 101, you’ll be placed into a New Member Cohort during your first two months as a new member. Think of Cohorts like a graduating class—except this isn’t high school (thank god).

You’ll spend time getting to know fellow comrades, ask questions to your cohort mentors, learn more about what we do, and find your place in DSA Long Beach.
